"Family Project" comes from data researched and compiled
from several different sources. Thanks to all who have contributed!
Caldwell - This is me, taken in 1995. I'm a little more grey
these days. I grew up in Moline, Illinois and now live in Huntington
Beach, California. My online "claim to fame" is as the
founder and developer of venicebeach.com
- Living at the beach, you'd think that I'd spend more time there
than in front of a computer screen, but it doesn't always work
out that way.
Downing Stahl - This is the first cousin that I met online.
Lisa has contributed data from the line of Levi, great-grandson
Dale Garton - Dale is from the line of Nicholas, great-grandson
of Joseph, and has helped fill out that branch of the family tree.
He has also been an excellent source of data on the three brothers
who came to Iowa in 1855. Dale gave me the number of some relatives
in Iowa and they turned out to be my father's aunt & uncle.
I have some old photos of my father, his father, and brother taken
on their farm.
Bell - Kathy is from a closer line to me, that of Gilmon Clinton
Caldwell, great-great-grandson of Joseph. Kathy and I hit it right
off. Although we met in 2001, it's like I've known her a long
Bergeron - Kathy Bell's mom.
Brennan - Descendants of Mary Caldwell, daughter of Joseph.
Douglas - Descendants of Mary Caldwell, daughter of Joseph.
John Gray - Descendants of Susanna Caldwell, daughter of Joseph.
C.J. McGrew - Additional information on Jane McGrew, wife
Clawson - Descendants of Davis Clawson, line of Mary Caldwell,
daughter of Joseph.
Puffalt - Descendants of Eleanor Caldwell, possible daughter
of John T., grand-daughter of Joseph. Don is from Saskatchewan.
You might not guess from the map behind him in this photo, but
he is quite the world traveler and now residing in one of my favorite
countries, Austria. Don introduced me to Betty Evenson from his
same line. I think that there's some resemblance there!
Evenson - Descendants of Eleanor Caldwell, possible daughter
of John T., granddaughter of Joseph. I think that Betty is amazing.
If there is a fountain of youth Betty has found it. She handles
a computer as if she were born with a mouse in her hand. Betty
has been married over 60 years and will no doubt be teaching her
great grandchildren a few things about using a computer. What
stories they'll have to tell!
