I hope you can get some interest from those in Scotland, it seems like a treasure trove when looking from overseas. I have tried to get my relations in Scotland interested but they have only shown the most casual flicker.
Perhaps the need for belonging to kin and culture is stronger over distance from its source.
I am more than happy with my present situation and would not ever consider returning to Scotland (not that there is anything wrong with Scotland). My family made the right choice bringing us here. None the less I find it interesting and a challenge to out together a family connection. My most abiding interest is in the history of the family in general.
