In Response To: Re: Hall or Tour of Caldwell Estate (David Caldwell)

We gave our eldest son "Gilchrist" as a second name. Not as a family name, or for any other particular reason other than it was peculiarly Scots and had some distinction to it. I wanted to show that our family had Scots roots in a subtle sort of way. I am now wondering if it was some sort of Freudian slip as it was given many years before I had even heard of the fact that Gilchrist More married the Caldwell heiress. :) All our sons have an "English-type" first name and a "Scots-type" second name.
