I am definitely related to John Caldwell m. Margaret Phillips line through their son ROBERT M. MARY LOGAN.

I know that "CUB CREEK" JOHN CALDWELL had a brother named ANDREW....is he the one that married MARTHA ANN STEWART?

If so, wouldn't I be connected to the REV. DAVID CALDWELL WHO MARRIED RACHEL CRAIGHEAD?? I had thought I was connected when someone on the internet corrected me and said I was mixed up with another ANDDREW...

Can someone help me out with this problem? I am new at research and I want to make certain I am correct (as much as possible given the vagaries of genealogy..LOL)before I claim a person who is NOT in my line...Now I know that he would NOT be in my DIRECT LINE since ANDDREW is a BROTHER OF CUB CREEK JOHN, but would he be a collateral (?) line?

Of course, it may be too far afield to start searching out ALL THOSE LINES OF CALDWELLS!!

Any help someone can give me to clarify the situation would be appreciated.
