EAGLE WING
By:Barbara Randolph

I have often heard our Caldwell's came over on the EAGLE WING...in the ANCESTOR DATABASE FIFTH GENERATION [JAC] notes 'REFERENCE TO 'EAGLE'S WING" IS MADE TO THE "Covenanter's" ship."

Ok, I will expose my ignorance...what does "COVENTER'S" SHIP refer to? It is obvious that the "EAGLE'S WING" was wrecked in 1636 so is a "COVENTER'S" ship ANOTHER SHIP given the same name as an honor/to continue tradition?

I have never found any documentation of a passenger list with CALDWELLS from a ship named "EAGLE'S WING" in 1727...

Anyone out there know anything more about this?
