The "Eagles Wing" (Eagle Wing) set sale about the time you stated in the 1600s, but was turned back by a storm. A good portion of the passenges lost all of their money in this attempt and returned home with little to nothing.

The ship never set sail again under that name, nor did it ever make it to America under that name.

I'll pull up some of what I have on it, but it will probably take me a few days. On a personal note, my wife and I have decided to go our own ways, which is why I haven't been on here as much as I'd like to.

Until I can get to what little I have on the ship, try a Google search for "Brian Orr" and "Convanters". This guy has a lot of good info online, and I believe that he covers both of your questions regarding the ship and convanters.
