It appears that you may know a lot more about the history of Caldwells of color than we do. I, have just started my research and am still looking for some answers. I know for sure that my family connection can be traced back to 1843. Beyound that, I am still researching. This excites me in that I never thought that I could get this far. I'm headed home next week to dig thru some county records to see what I can find. Hopefully, this can lead me to more information that will help me to put some things together.

The information that you have says a lot, but it doesn't help if you don't have the entire history. I have come a long way in finding history, but It doesn't help if you can't verify it. Bare with us. We are searching and will find some answers. It's just that we want to be certain that what we find is accurate based on facts.
