Thanks David
Annanhill (as opposed to Annandale) is just past the railway line leaving Kilmarnock on the Crosshouse road. Its on the south side of the road and is now a golf course.
Ellerslie (one of the places where William Wallace was supposed to have been born) is next to Annanhill to the south west (probably adjoins) but the access road seems to run from near Crosshouse in a south-easterly direction.
Elderslie in the Paisley region is in the Lochwinnoch area "Caldwell country". Ellerslie in the Kilmarnock area is also in the Ayrshire "Caldwell country". But you could also just as easily call both areas "Wallace country" or "Stewart country" (and probably others as well). Messages In This Thread
