The Todriggs Burn runs north-east into the Irvine River just west of Kilmarnock near Caprington Castle. Toddriggs is near Earlston about half-way between the Irvine and the main road from Riccarton to Ayr. It is close to Riccarton on the south side of the river.

Annanhill (as opposed to Annandale) is just past the railway line leaving Kilmarnock on the Crosshouse road. Its on the south side of the road and is now a golf course.
Annandale is just before Crosshouse on the north side of the road. I don't know if it was ever a Caldwell property - I know it was farmed by the Orr family in more recent years.

Ellerslie (one of the places where William Wallace was supposed to have been born) is next to Annanhill to the south west (probably adjoins) but the access road seems to run from near Crosshouse in a south-easterly direction.
From what I have seen on the web I think the evidence supports this Ellerslie as the birthplace although there are many adherents for Elderslie in Renfrewshire near Paisley.

Elderslie in the Paisley region is in the Lochwinnoch area "Caldwell country". Ellerslie in the Kilmarnock area is also in the Ayrshire "Caldwell country". But you could also just as easily call both areas "Wallace country" or "Stewart country" (and probably others as well).
