John Caldwell has gone to a great deal of trouble to set up a great site for Caldwell researchers.
I am specifically interested in the early Caldwell family back in Scotland. There are a surprising amount of bits and pieces about, but not enough for the definitive book as yet.
I am pretty busy in my profession and don't have a lot of time to reply in great detail or explain what I know of the family - that will have to wait just a few years longer until I retire.
In the meantime I am interested in making contact with those who have some real solid non-mythical information on the early Caldwells (pre 1750). Semi-mythical is ok as there is probably some underlying basis of fact. :-) I don't mind information exchange - its just a bit hard to be a story-teller when you are still collecting and haven't logically organised your facts.
