Based on donated research. Came to America and was sheriff of Lancaster Co. Pa. Appointed Justice with brother John to Comission of the Peace for the organization of Lunenburg Co, Va. Will probated 4/2/1751. Will was written 12/22/1750 and states Deed Book 1, Page 501, to wife Joan-a full 1/3 of my personal estate after my debts are paid. To Thomas and John, a tract of land containing 177 acres lying on Sandy Creek. For the three youngest children, the remainder of my personal estate and the plantation where my wife lives whe she shall think proper. Perhaps William was as instrumental as John in the founding of the Cub Creek Settlement!
