JOHN CALDWELL

John Caldwell was born and married in Ireland. He married Margaret Philips. They
were the parents of William Caldwell who married Margaret Parks. John Caldwell
died in Cubcreek, Lunenburg County, Virginia in April of 1751. The Caldwell family
came to the United States in 1685. They orginated in France, moved to Scotland,
immigrated to Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and then to Charlotte County,
Virginia.

Death: Will of John Caldwell proved April 3, 1751.

The first emigrant John Caldwell and his group, comprising
of his wife, five children and three brothers-in -law Moore,
Richey, and Dudgeon, who landed at New Castle, Delaware,
Dec 10, 1727. He was one of the pioneer settlers of the territory
created into Lunenburg County. After landing and before
emigrating to Virginia, he located for a time in Lancaster
county, Pennsylvania.

Came to the America in 1713- The will of John Caldwell dated Nov 26,1748 Proved
april ., mukm sates John owned 1085 acres of land along Cub Creek in Virginia
