William Caldwell 1787 Washington Co.First I give unto my son William Caldwell and his heirs two hundred acres of land it being the two hundred lying on Buflo Creek and he is to discarge a dbt due to Nathn Templetons Estate decd And also five bushel of wheat and one hundred weight of pork yearly to be paid to his Mother and I do order thirty acres of land to my daughter Margret to her and her heirs forever. And I do order this my lands that my lands that I now live on to be keep unsold untill my youngest child comes of age for the support of my wife during her lifetime and my three youngest daughters and then to be equallly divided amongst my five daughters, Elizabeth, Mary, Elinor, Martha, and Agness my three youngest daghters to have their parts lead of the upper end of this land I now live bound to the left by lands of Roberts Guttery according to a Conditional line made and agreed upon between us, William Oar being present, then to the north by lands of James Vincent, and order a Deed of Conveyance to be given to Edward Smith for his fifty acres which is lead of when he makes good his payments accoding to contract and I do order five shillings to be given to my daughter Isabelle and also to my daghter Jean ( here the photocoppy is unreadable. heirs after my decease my dispute with the others I do order their part to taken and equally divided amongst the rest, sighed this tenth day of April in the year 1787. Register for the probate of Wills in and for said county personally came William Caldwell Junr and Elizabeth Caldwell two of the subscribing witnesses within named and on their solemn oaths did depose and say that they were present and saw and heard William Caldwell, Senior the Testator within named, sign, seal, publish, pronounce and declare the foregonng annexed instrument in writing as and for his las will and testament and that at the time of doing thereof he was of sound knowledge, observation and belief. Be it remembered that on the 31st day of December Anno Domini 1787 The last will and testament of William Caldwell lated of wshingfton County deceased was proved in due form of law and letters testamentory thereon were granted to Elizabeth Caldwell wife of the said deceased she being first sworn well and truly to admisnister the Estate of the said deceased and to exhibit a true and perfect inventory thereof into the Registers Office at Washington and to render a true and Just Account of her said adminstration when leggally thereunto require.
