James L. Caldwell, 91, of 2112 3rd St., Moline, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2002, at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island.
Services are 2 p.m. Friday at Wendt Funeral Home, Moline. Burial is in Roselawn Memorial Estates. Visitation is 1 p.m. to service time.
He was born Feb. 10, 1911, in Humestown, Iowa, the son of James and Mary Berry Caldwell. He married Fay Bladel Aug. 28, 1937, in Davenport. She died Jan. 20, 1999.
He was a partner in Mechanical-Constructors, Moline, retiring in 1969. He was a member of Short Hills Country Club for many years and was a member of Gyro International for 53 years. He enjoyed golf, dancing and gin rummy.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, James L. Jr. and Joanne Caldwell, Las Vegas, Nev.; a stepson, Roderick L. Bladel, New York City, N.Y.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
